FIR registered towards cricket fan for getting into floor mid-match


MULTAN: The police on Sunday registered an FIR towards Mohammad Waqas Ashraf, a cricket fan, who bumped into the Multan Cricket Stadium through the second ODI between Pakistan and West Indies on Friday.

The case was registered on the Makhdum Rashid police station on behalf of the state by way of a police officer. 

“A person swiftly entered the bottom from underneath the fence close to gate quantity 3, saluted and hugged a cricketer (Shadab Khan) after reaching the batting crease,” the FIR learn.

The police stated the person dedicated a cognisable offence and a case has been registered towards him underneath sections 188 and 452 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC).

As per the FIR, Waqas managed to flee the scene by profiting from the frenzy. Afterward, he was arrested and brought to a police station, the place his FIR was registered.

Nevertheless, video footage from the match clearly reveals that Waqas was caught on the spot by the police.

As per Part 188, one could be jailed for a most of six months for such an offence, whereas underneath part 452, the suspect faces imprisonment as much as a most of seven years alongside a nice.
