Police have registered a case in opposition to an individual for allegedly duping a person of Rs 10.10 lakh in Maharashtra‘s Nagpur metropolis by promising jobs to his two sons within the railways, an official stated on Sunday. The case in opposition to Dharendra Singh Gaur (57), a resident Sitabuldi space within the metropolis, was registered primarily based on a criticism lodged by Ravindra Bawankar (53), who lives on Somwar Bazar highway, he stated.
“The accused advised the sufferer that he had good connections with senior railway officers and promised to offer jobs to his two sons. Believing his promise, the sufferer paid a complete of Rs 10.10 lakh to Gaur between 2019 and June 2022,” the official of Sitabuldi police station stated. Nevertheless, when the sufferer realised that he has been conned, he approached the police and lodged a criticism. An offence underneath Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections 420 (dishonest) and 406 (legal breach of belief) was registered in opposition to the accused, he stated.
